Come join us for our annual Backyard Bird Count at Westcrest Park! We'll be focusing on Spring restoration needs, as well as tracking the local avians via the official bird counter.
Please wear and bring with you what you will need to be comfortable spending a few hours working outside.
Dress in layers for the weather, and consider bringing additional dry, insulating, or waterproof layers.
Remember to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, or any other accessories to protect yourself from the elements.
We will provide the gloves and tools!

Description
The Duwamish Infrastructure Restoration Training Corps (DIRT Corps) was established in South Seattle in 2015 as a community partnership program to provide on-the-job training for adult workers, specifically encouraging women, people of color, LGBT, and veterans to enroll. The program provides hands-on training with a focus on rain garden and cistern design/build, operations and maintenance, vegetation management, and ecological restoration. We also provide turnkey services in Urban Forestry, Green Infrastructure, and Ecological Restoration.
