Mission Statement

Dirt Corps’ mission is to create access to green careers for all people, working towards a healthy environment, engaged communities, and a sustainable economy throughout the Puget Sound region.

Description

The Duwamish Infrastructure Restoration Training Corps (DIRT Corps) was established in South Seattle in 2015 as a community partnership program to provide on-the-job training for adult workers, specifically encouraging women, people of color, LGBT, and veterans to enroll. The program provides hands-on training with a focus on rain garden and cistern design/build, operations and maintenance, vegetation management, and ecological restoration. We also provide turnkey services in Urban Forestry, Green Infrastructure, and Ecological Restoration.

Well organized, pleasant knowledgable leaders, and snacks! They haul their own restroom as well, very thoughtful group.
