Bristol Hospice- Sacramento is seeking compassionate volunteers in Foothills/Auburn who can provide weekly companionship visits and respite care to our hospice patients and their families. Our volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team!

Bristol Hospice-Sacramento, offers unique hospice services to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of our patients/families. Hospice care is a coordinated team effort provided by care professionals that include: doctors, nurses, clergy, social workers, and volunteers. Volunteers provide support through companionship, emotional support, and respite care.

Direct Volunteer Activities Include:

• Listening to the patient and family
• Assist with things that would help the patient relax (aromatherapy, reading favorite books, listening to music, play cards)
• Assist with light housekeeping
• Provide Caregiver Relief

Indirect Volunteer Activities Include:

• Office Administrative Tasks
• Mailing Cards
• Binder Prep
• Condolence Cards
• Bright Moments Program Boards
• Supplies
