Bristol Hospice volunteers offers support and comfort to our patients and families who are dealing with a terminal illness. Hospice care is a coordintated team effort provided by the care team of doctors, nurses, clergy, social workers and volunteers. Our volunteers are an essential part of the team, they are trained to share companionship with patients and provide support for their families. Volunteers will spend time with patients, have conversation, read, watch TV, play games or go on short walks with fresh air! Our volunteers can also provide support in the Bristol Hospice office; answering phones, extra support with administrative tasks and assisting our bereavement deptment.
