The Adopt-a-Meal program provides a much-needed service to families who are supporting their sick or injured children. Families often will not have the time, resources, or energy to prepare a healthy, hot meal for themselves. This program invites friends, families, co-workers, school, community, or church groups to cook and prepare meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald Family Room inside Primary Children’s Hospital-Miller Campus.

Groups:

Groups are limited to 8 individuals or less.

Any volunteers under 18 must have ample adult supervision to ensure their safety, all food and safety guidelines are followed, and maintain the peaceful space we aim to provide for our guest families.

Volunteers are asked to:

  • Provide food for 50 people and provide their own plates or to go containers, plasticware and napkins.
  • Prepare the meal at the Ronald McDonald Family Room. For food safety, we are unable to serve any food that is prepared offsite unless it is store-bought or catered
  • Dish up the meal for families to quickly access and take with them
  • Clean up all pots, pans, dishes, and surfaces
