The Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space in New York City is looking for our annual outdoor Film Festival coordinator. This will be our 12th film festival, the film festival takes place over a four day weekend in different outdoor community garden locations in New York's East village. We have all the equipment and spaces however we need a coordinator to reach out to film makers and help organize the line ups acquire films for viewing. Volunteers will also need to coordinate film festival meetings, volunteers, and promotions.
Last year we even made a few of our own films using our archive content. If possible, you would be expected to find and edit content for short films or source people with these skills. This year's film festival will be titled "Every Little Bit Helps" and will focus on urban grassroots efforts that created positive sustainable change effecting larger climate change solutions, for example: recycling, composting, bicycling, community gardens, low-tech transportation systems and sustainable urban designs. The film festival is usually held in September.
Volunteers will need to come in at least once a week.

Mission Statement
TIME'S UP! educates people about the environmental impacts of everyday purchases. We focus on transportation issues in New York City and have been instrumental in involving cyclists and skaters in large, mobile actions.
Description
TIME'S UP! is a grassroots environmental group that has been working on environmental issues for 27 years. Educational outreach and direct action are the two most important aspects of TIME'S UP! We hold more than 100 free outdoor and indoor events each year. Our campaigns range from saving community gardens to promoting non-polluting transportation. In 2012, Time's Up! partnered with the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (Morus) in lower east side of Manhattan, which archives the history of the community and gardens, advocating community engagement and sustainable urban design.
