We are coming together as a community to steward Tyrrell Park through the City's Adopt-A-Park program. At the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, you gain new wisdom about local ecology, native plants, and sustainable gardening while connecting with nature outdoors. It's time to get your hands dirty!
Join YouthSERVE at the project on November 6th! Teens encouraged to join! Contact JShamoun@scvolunteercenter.org for permission waiver for youth attending without a parent or guardian.
Space is limited so registration is required.
What to Expect
This Tyrrell Park requires general landscaping, occasional watering, weeding, and replanting.
Please email us to let us know if you need special accommodations.
This program happens rain or shine, but we will cancel in the case of muddy conditions or inclement weather.
All ages are welcome; Volunteers under 14 require adult supervision. All Volunteers under the age of 18 require a parent/guardian to sign waivers.

The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History has connected people to the wonders of nature for over 100 years. Located above Seabright Beach, the Museum highlights the region’s diverse plant, animal, and human communities from the shoreline of Monterey Bay to the summit of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Description
The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History offers an interesting and enriching experience for all ages, talents and skill levels. We welcome new volunteers year-round and offer a variety of ways to be involved and make a difference in our community:

* Garden Volunteer
* Tide Pool Feeding
* Exhibits Installation
* Special Events Help
All volunteers receive an orientation to the Museum's volunteer program. Docents receive additional trainings for the education program(s) they will teach and shadow experienced docents/staff.
