HERS Breast Cancer Foundation is seeking an administrative volunteer to support a staff member as they provide assessment and fitting services for breast cancer patients for post-surgical products (breast forms/prosthetics, specialty bras, and compression garments) at its Livermore Program Store within the CommonPoint Nonprofit Center.
Tasks include greeting patients, ensuring patient forms are completed, pulling stock from shelves/replacing stock, tidying the fitting space and reception area, and answering calls.
The ideal volunteer will have a compassionate and caring approach with HERS patients and be sensitive to the patients' illness and circumstances. Strict observance of patient confidentiality is required at all times and a background check (paid for by HERS) is required.
