Position Summary:

The Online Program Director will ensure all children reach developmentally appropriate milestones by implementing evidenced-based curricula, individualized support, and high-quality learning environments. You will lead a team of online program mentors and will focus on ensuring that all our students and families are receiving the help they need to succeed academically.

Essential Duties:

With the support of the Deputy Director of Programs and in collaboration with MAP’s leadership, you’re responsible for:

Curriculum and Instruction

• Promote high-quality and developmentally appropriate teaching and learning in each online session and tools that lead to student’s school readiness
• Develop and maintain a high-quality, safe, and nurturing environment where our students develop trusting and accepting relationships with our mentors to foster growth and development
• Execute a developmentally appropriate and integrated curriculum that provides opportunities for our student’s academic success
• Work with our mentors to reliably implement a successful lesson and meet our students where they at

Leadership & Governance

• Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision for all online mentors. Directly supervise and coach our mentors, in the following:
• Supporting our mentors with lesson plans and curriculum implementation
• Scheduling, selecting, and/or facilitating in-service/staff development trainings and workshops
• Holding parent meetings related to educational supports
• Observe, coach, and work with mentors to implement the program curriculum with fidelity
• Meet regularly with mentors and parents
• Share our students successes and highlights in leadership meetings

Family Engagement

• Build and foster trusting partnerships with families; serve as a role model for these types of relationships for mentors
• Facilitate meetings with families when students have outstanding developmental or behavioral needs.

Record Maintenance, Screening, and Assessment

• Record and maintenance reports, screen and assess our students academic needs

Program Design, Management and Supervision

• Provide leadership with suggested program design as needed

Professional Development

• Assist mentors with certifications as needed
• Support MAP’s goals
