TCPR is looking for volunteer help with intake management! We're looking for organized, tech savvy individuals who are comfortable both working independently and collaborating with the team as needed. This is an unprecedented time in animal rescue and the need for rescues to take in animals far exceeds our ability to intake them. In this role, you will correspond through email with individuals, external shelters, and animal control agencies to assess if TCPR can help take in an animal they are reaching out about (in partnership with the intake coordinator and foster team). If we aren't able to help with an animal, you will also be responsible for communicating that and providing a list of resources they can consider. You will also be responsible for adding animals to and updating our waitlist within our animal management software and coordinating transfers into rescue with the third party and a TCPR foster home (through email). This roll is 100% virtual and the ideal volunteer would have approx. 1 hour every 1-3 days to help with intake communications. There are occasional opportunities to help with in person intake duties during large transports. But that is optional and infrequent.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to rescue abandoned, homeless, abused, neglected, and otherwise unwanted dogs, cats and small companion animals, with the ultimate goal of finding each one a stable and loving forever home. We specialize in providing care for animals with medical needs and behavioral issues and transitioning them thoughtfully and safely into adoptive homes.
Description
Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue that operates almost entirely by volunteer efforts. We rescue dogs, cats, and small companion animals and place them in foster homes until they are adopted by a forever family. TCPR focuses on rescuing animals in critical need and those at risk of being euthanized. Many of our foster animals have or had special medical needs.
Once rescued, all animals stay in foster homes, receive optimal veterinary care, high-quality nutrition, and basic training in preparation for adoption. We have rescued and placed more than 2,000 animals with loving forever families since our founding in 2009.
We also provide community animal services including nail trim and microchip clinics, educational events and pet-friendly activity events. Our work cannot continue without ongoing help from amazing volunteers. Please consider joining the TCPR team today and help save the lives of companion animals one life at a time!
