Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region’s mission is to provide services to the community that will support and promote healthy families, adults and children. Our agency is dedicated to improving the neighborhood as a setting for family life, contributing to health and well-being, and promoting education and employment as a means of self-development. One of many resources we offer to increase health and wellness for everyone in the community is our Food Pantry!
As a Pantry Delivery Driver Volunteer, (in partnership with Hunger Free America - AmeriCorps Senior 55+ Volunteer Program) you will deliver pantry bags to community members in Albany, NY.
This is an in-person volunteer opportunity, averaging 5 hours per week. Shifts are available 3-4 days/week in the morning to make deliveries and pick up food donations.
Volunteers will complete deliveries to community members in Albany, NY and/or pick up food donations from community partners. Volunteers will need a valid driver's license and be willing to undergo a LENS check (driver history check). Volunteers are welcome to deliver in their own vehicles or via our agency van.
By joining our community of Senior Volunteers (must be 55+) you gain access to our group events, training, events, volunteer recognition, community, monetary reimbursement, and an extensive list of volunteer opportunities that are remote or in-person across the U.S.

HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
