POSITION SUMMARY:
We seek an experienced and dynamic Volunteer Social Media Coordinator to lead our social media efforts. As a Volunteer Social Media Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our comprehensive social media strategy, driving brand awareness, engagement, and growth. This volunteer position is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for social media and a track record of delivering results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- A proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies for brands or organizations
- Passion for social media and a sincere interest in making a positive impact
- Proficiency in social media management tools, scheduling, analytics platforms, and content creation software
- Thorough understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and platform-specific best practices
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating creativity and a keen eye for detail
- Experience in crisis management and online reputation management is a plus
- Management experience and leadership qualities preferred, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team of social media specialists
- Strong project management skills, capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with privacy and data protection regulations applicable to social media marketing

DUTIES:

- Develop and oversee the organization's social media strategy, ensuring alignment with our goals and values
- Craft a forward-thinking content plan that spans multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google My Business and emerging channels
- Monitor analytics and provide actionable insights to continually optimize our social media strategy
- Lead and collaborate with the content team, providing guidance and setting goals, to create engaging and shareable content, including graphics, videos, and written materials; foster professional growth of the team
- Leverage social media management tools to schedule and publish content, monitor performance, and manage engagements
- Stay current with social media trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices, adapting our strategy accordingly
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to increase brand visibility, engagement and leads
- Monitor and manage online reputation, promptly responding to comments, messages, and inquiries professionally and authentically
- Identify and nurture relationships with influencers, partners, and collaborators within the social media space
- Collaborate closely with other departments to integrate social media into broader marketing and communication strategies
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive reports and presentations to showcase the impact of social media efforts to stakeholders

Mission Addiction was founded by a business consultant and faith leader in January, 2017.
- Everything we do is offered in person and online.
- We've had the pleasure of working with participants and volunteers in 28 states, 3 other countries and 9 time zones.

  • People in recovery from addiction to sin, behavior or substance
