Jeremiah’s Inn (JI) is a community of individuals and organizations committed to helping those in our community who suffer from the devastating effects of substance use disorder and Food Insecurity.

As a Nutrition Center Assistant Volunteer, (in partnership with Hunger Free America - AmeriCorps Senior 55+ Volunteer Program) you will work with the Nutrition Center Coordinator. Duties range from stocking, organizing shelves, distributing food, and performing client intakes.

This is an in-person role for someone with a positive happy demeaner. In addition to the above duties, having basic computer skills is helpful. Ability to lift 25 pds is helpful. And bilingual is a plus! Most guests are Hispanic/Latino, we also have guests who speak Arabic, French, Vietnamese and Portuguese. We do require volunteers to pass a CORI check.

Average time commitment is 4 hours per week. The hours needed for assistance does change however, current shifts available are:
Monday 11:30 am - 4 pm
Tuesday 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Friday 8:30 am - 11:30 am

The location does have a small parking lot that is handicap accessible, with additional parking with a short walk. It is accessible by bus with a stop across the street.
