Job Summary:

The Programming Committee Member is a vital role within the Counselors in the Community Association Co. They are responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all CITCA programming efforts aimed at improving healthcare opportunities and managing care for individuals facing socioeconomic barriers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, plan, and execute engaging and educational programming that aligns with CITCA's mission.
  2. Collaborate with other committee members in performing comprehensive reviews of potential programs and initiatives.
  3. Maintain a keen understanding of healthcare trends, advancements, and best practices to incorporate into programming.
  4. Work closely with partners and institutions to develop joint programs and initiatives.
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs conducted and recommend improvements.
  6. Assist in fundraising efforts to secure the necessary resources for CITCA's programming.

Qualifications:

  1. A passion for CITCA's mission and a desire to make a difference.
  2. Proven experience in program development and management.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  4. Good understanding of healthcare systems, particularly those affecting individuals with socioeconomic barriers.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and partners.

Mission Statement

Counselors in the Community Alliance- CITCA serves disadvantaged individuals throughout the United States from urban & rural communities with mental and behavioral health resources by increasing access to services, resources and support for children, adults and families impacted by poverty and poverty-related issues and bridge the gaps to strengthen community resilience through stewardship, economic opportunities, health and education equity.

Description

CITCA is a national 501c3 on a powerful mission to increase strengthen mental health awareness and community resilience. Our association includes a collaborative alliance among counselors, mental health professionals, and community members nationwide engaging in civic community activities that promote mental health awareness and resiliency. Through such allyship the organization strengthens anti-poverty initiatives that bridge the gaps on access to care and socioeconomic resources including programs, education and employment resources.

Since incorporating the nonprofit has been driving impact in social emotional learning, SEL and increasing access to counseling services for low income families. The organization also offer programs for youth leadership development, advocacy, community resources and programs that contribute to prosocial development and other services to close equity gaps

We are seeking volunteers to serve with us who share similar passions to increase mental health awareness and strengthen communities. Volunteers are the driving force our mission would be incomplete without and we welcome all with a passion too serve.

  • Must be at least 18
  • The Programming Committee Member role requires approximately 10 hours per week or a minimum of 40 hours per month. Our team meets twice a month for strategic planning and coordination.
