Job Summary: The Programming Committee Member is a vital role within the Counselors in the Community Association Co. They are responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all CITCA programming efforts aimed at improving healthcare opportunities and managing care for individuals facing socioeconomic barriers. Responsibilities: Develop, plan, and execute engaging and educational programming that aligns with CITCA's mission. Collaborate with other committee members in performing comprehensive reviews of potential programs and initiatives. Maintain a keen understanding of healthcare trends, advancements, and best practices to incorporate into programming. Work closely with partners and institutions to develop joint programs and initiatives. Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs conducted and recommend improvements. Their key responsibility is to directly engage with local communities, build relationships, and communicate CITCA's mission to improve healthcare outcomes and manage care for individuals facing socioeconomic barriers. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and coordinate community-based outreach initiatives that align with CITCA's mission. Foster strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and individuals to promote CITCA's programs and initiatives. Coordinate with the Digital Outreach and Programming Committees to ensure consistency in messaging and to maximize the impact of CITCA's initiatives. Organize community events to raise awareness about CITCA's work, aiming to educate the community about the mental health crisis and economic disparities. Gather feedback from the community on CITCA's initiatives and relay that information back to the appropriate teams for evaluation and further action. Participate in fundraising efforts to support CITCA's work in the community. Qualifications: A strong passion for CITCA's mission and a desire to drive change in local communities. Previous experience in community outreach, public relations, or a similar role is preferential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences. Familiarity with the healthcare sector and socioeconomic challenges that individuals in the community face. Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and to coordinate efforts across teams.

Counselors In The Community Association Co., CITCA is recruiting students for our hybrid SEL Mentor position. CITCA is a national 501c3 with an anti poverty mission to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged communities. Forming a national alliance with counselors throughout the United States across various specialties, the organization aims to strengthen the counselor-community relationship by getting counselors active in low income communities for service including education, programs, and community volunteering and increase opportunities for counselors in training to gain industry experience while making a difference in the lives of others. We believe that together, along with community, we can bridge the gaps in access to care and resource to empower communities and reduce poverty and poverty-related issues. CITCA offers programs for parents, children, and young adults. Offering a wide range of services including educational trainings/workshops, mental health referrals, resources, advocacy, and transformation SEL. Mentors will be provided opportunities to learn and perform within other operations of the organization. There is much opportunity for growth. To be employed by CITCA, candidates enter through the Pathway to Hire process. Pathway to Hire includes a 1-year volunteer position hold before candidates are eligible to receive full employment offer. Selected candidates will sign-on in a volunteer position, dedicating a minimum of 5-hours a week to support the mission. Compensation will be provided for all workshops facilitated. Upon satisfactory performance review, the candidate will be offered a full hire position. All staff are hired through this process. Position description: The SEL Mentor will provide social emotional learning workshops for youth ages 8-15 experiencing social and/or emotional difficulties or disorders. During the workshops, mentors will engage in interactive activities of theory and practical learning concepts for a duration of 2-hours. Workshop location will vary throughout the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Majority of volunteer work will be performed virtually however a minimum of 5 hours a month must be in-person.
