About Friends for a Non Violent World

393 Dunlap St. N., #450E, St. Paul, MN 55104, US

Mission Statement

Friends for a NonViolent World (FNVW) is a Quaker-inspired organization of people who affirm the dignity inherent in each human being. FNVW works to promote and create peace and justice in our community by using the principles and practices of nonviolence to transform conflict and to address the root causes of violence.

We provide tools, training and opportunities for people to take leadership in creating a nonviolent society. We affirm the dignity and self-determination of each person, promoting nonviolence as a powerful means to accomplish all just ends. The goals of FNVW are to promote peace in the personal lives of individuals, in communities plagued by violence and in the political system of the United States. Additionally, FNVW strives to educate people on the impact of violence in all areas of our lives.
