Job Description: Applications are now being accepted for a part-time volunteer Paralegal/Lawyer position at Feel the Beat. We are looking for a responsible and dedicated individual with a background in law as either a lawyer, administrative assistant to a law office or a paralegal.
The Company: Feel the Beat is a 501c(3) non-profit dance organization based in Denver, CO, creating equally accessible music and dance experiences for all types of students. Our learners include those who are Hearing, Deaf, Hard of Hearing, as well as with/without Disabilities. We’ve developed a curriculum that incorporates a vibrotactile dance floor and instruction tools to aid in the experience of dance.
Duties:
- Support Founder & CEO with tasks/projects as assigned including; writing/reviewing contracts (employee, contractor, event related, floor rental related, etc.), writing/reviewing employee documents, and other compliance documentation support as needed.
Background and Qualifications:
- Legal background is a plus (paralegal, law student, legal assistant, etc.)
- Experience working with nonprofits is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to manage a flexible schedule
- Self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable working remotely
- Customer service oriented
- Passion for our mission of dance and music accessibility for all

Description
Feel the Beat is a Colorado-based 501c(3) nonprofit and dance studio for all levels, ages, and abilities. We use a carefully crafted curriculum that engages students’ senses, strengthens muscle groups, improves coordination, and teaches the fundamentals of music, dance principles, and choreography while connecting to the music through our state-of-the-art patented vibrational floor.
