We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to play an active role in the Pet Peace of Mind program. The PPOM Coordinator will be directing the program, while the volunteer keeps close contact with a Veterinarian, Pet shelter, groomer.
The Volunteer must have a strong background in animal handling experience and not shy away to care for a Hospice patients pet in that home. Volunteers are assisting in the general well being of the pet if the patient is no longer able to including:
Feeding,
Grooming
Veterinary care
Rehoming if needed.
Other opportunities to help include fundraisers and upkeep of a Pet food pantry.

A surprising number of people on our service are our own friends and family because they know they will receive the best care at Elite Hospice.
