The Society (for Handicapped Citizens) of Medina County serves adults with disabilities and we are currently in search of volunteers to take part in sharing their gift of culinary skills. Who doesn't love food? Our individuals love to bake and help out in the kitchen. With the holidays fast approaching, our group homes would love to help bake some cookies, pies, or other baked goods with you!

We are in search of individuals or groups joining us for cooking or baking in our group homes throughout Medina County. You can volunteer with us for a single event or ongoing as it fits your schedule.

The impacts of COVID-19 prevented many activities and volunteers from working directly with our residents over the past few years, and The Society is looking forward to inviting volunteers to work with our residents and staff once again. Whether you are an individual looking to share your time, expertise, and good food with us once or twice throughout the year, or a group interested in cooking/baking with us on a regular basis, we would love for you to share your skills with us.

The Society has been working for individuals with disabilities and their families in the community for over 70 years. This volunteer opportunity would impact the individuals we work for by providing our individuals with an opportunity to learn something new, interact with people of the community and enjoy a sweet treat.
