Caring individuals that want to share time with senior patients that need companionship and friendship. Some would like to read a book, watch TV, spend some time talking to someone new, learning new things, playing games, making a puzzle, so many ideas can be fun.
Our time is valuable to others, and it is to ourselves as well. Sometimes people are isolated and just need someone that will visit and don't want anything other than friendship.
We are talking about an hour a week or sometimes longer, regular weekly visits and recording of time spent with patients. I try to schedule your patient visit close to your home for convenience. Getting involved in your own community.
I would welcome the chance to meet you and tell you about our program and how you could make a difference on our team. I can send you an application, meet for an interview, send Orientation and then meet again for coffee or soda to recap all that you have reviewed and prepare you for a visit. We do pay for you to get a TB test, drug and background screening, but our company pays. I can also sign forms for school or work for your credits.

Description
Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.
