We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the art of fine scale miniatures, history, toys, museums and learning!

Special events and projects volunteers work on unique tasks in the museum. This position is on an as-needed basis. Projects include office and administrative projects; museum mailings; assisting with special event preparations; greeting visitors or assisting with programs during special events; and other projects as they arise. By helping the museum with these crucial tasks, volunteers support the museum mission and ensure its future.

Qualifications needed:

Good communication skill; enjoys engaging with diverse people of all ages
Orientation and Training
Organizational skills
Repetitive arm motions for office tasks
16 Years and older
Standing and occasional bending, sitting, and lifting of 10-20lbs

Description

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures preserves and exhibits the largest fine-scale miniature collection in the world and one of the largest toy collections on public display in the United States. The museum opened in 1982 as the Toy and Miniature Museum of Kansas City. Since then, the museum has engaged audiences through special exhibitions, events, and programming.
