We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the art of fine scale miniatures, history, toys, museums and learning!

Program volunteers contribute to the quality of T/m's educational programming by assisting with the preparation of program materials. This may include cutting, pasting, stapling, making clip-on buttons, and more. Volunteers in this unique and fun position will be able to engage with the many types of programming available at the museum. Volunteers may also assist with program set-up and tear-down. This position is fundamental to the mission of the museum because it ensures that visitors have a positive experience during programming.

Qualifications needed:

Must be at least 16 years of age
Enjoys arts and crafts
Excellent customer service skills
Some orientation and training required

Description

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures preserves and exhibits the largest fine-scale miniature collection in the world and one of the largest toy collections on public display in the United States. The museum opened in 1982 as the Toy and Miniature Museum of Kansas City. Since then, the museum has engaged audiences through special exhibitions, events, and programming.
