Mission Statement

Our mission is to groom an empowered next-generation via improving educational and situational opportunities for indigent students. We do this by ascertaining the needs of underprivileged schools and/or families, creating awareness of their needs and recruiting the right resources to solve their problems. By operating transparently with the help of donors and volunteers such as yourself, we enable direct donor-to-project giving, integrity and smart funds allocation with maximum impact.

Description

The Sebaus Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization (tax identification number EIN 87-2747597).
Funds raised by the Foundation are applied to various causes including:

  • The BUILDING STEM COMPETENCE (BSC) Program which provides much-needed STEM and Financial education to middle and high school students in the USA.
  • Backpacks for Kids Program: For many children in low-income communities, having a durable schoolbag of their own is a luxury. Many across the world use plastic bags or none at all due to inability to access or afford quality bags. Our BKP solves this challenge by purchasing and shipping backpacks to recipient schools.
  • School Repairs, Renovations and Upgrades: We identify a Recipient school and work with them over the course of 1-2 years to fix troubling issues. There is always something to fix especially in under resourced schools. We have added a Library to Uruegbe Primary School, the first in its over 100 years of existence. We have equipped kids for school, fixed unsafe stairs, repainted classrooms and done so much more. We do these by raising awareness and donations that improve the learning environment, wellbeing and safety of the students.
  • Annual AZE Young Poets Contest #AZEYPC which encourages and rewards literary excellence in high school kids in Nigeria.
