Senior Service of Southeastern Virginia is seeking an enthusiastic, service minded individual who can be creative and work well on teams in a fast-paced and fun environment to assist our wellness center staff at Windsor Town Center, in Windsor.

Volunteers will assist staff with various wellness activities for older adults and with serving meals at a congregate meal nutrition site.

Volunteers are encouraged to work with staff to help design activities that play to their strengths, including, but not limited to:

  • Leading a sing-along
  • knitting/crochet
  • Painting
  • Musical Instruments
  • General Arts and Crafts projects
  • Games
  • Fitness instructors/Chair Yoga
  • ...and anything more that you bring to the table!

We ask that volunteers commit to a shift of 10-1 on their chosen day(s), but in most cases we can be flexible depending on your schedule needs.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students looking for volunteer hours, recent retirees, active seniors wanting to engage and lead their peers, and anyone looking to help fill their time while enriching the lives of others. We look forward to meeting you!
