Grocery Pick-up & Delivery to Home Serving Adults with Disabilities

The Society (SHC) of Medina County is in search of volunteers to pick-up and deliver groceries to our sites in Seville and Medina. The volunteer would be responsible for picking up pre-ordered groceries and delivering them to our group home which serves adults with disabilities. Pick-up and drop-off times can be arranged to fit your schedule and you can choose to deliver to a single house or multiple homes. Pick-up and delivery of groceries will be contact-free.

This assignment is ongoing, and we ask that volunteers commit to this task on a weekly basis. Volunteers for this assignment will need to effectively communicate their availability, maintain confidentiality, maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, auto insurance, a good driving record/agree to a driver's license check, and have the ability to lift up to 15 lbs.

The Society has been working for individuals with disabilities and their families in the community for over 70 years. This volunteer opportunity would impact the individuals we work for by providing our staff with more time to focus on individualized care and activities in the homes and in the community.
