Position Title: Grants & Proposals Coordinator
Are you passionate about empowering women, promoting gender equality, and driving positive change in communities? Ripples, a community-based development organization operating in Nigeria and Ghana, is seeking a dedicated and creative VolunteerGrants & Proposals Coordinator to join our team. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission of creating pathways for women to become key participants in the economy and leaders within their communities.
Your Impact:
- Grant Research : Conduct in-depth research to identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other sources that align with Ripples' mission and programs.
- Grant Application : Assist in the development of grant proposals, including writing and editing, to secure funding for Ripples' projects and initiatives.
- Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive database of grant opportunities, application deadlines, and submission requirements.
- Proposal Coordination: Collaborate with various team members to gather information, budgets, and supporting documents needed for grant applications.
- Grant Compliance: Ensure that grant applications and reports adhere to all requirements and guidelines set by funding organizations.
- Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor the progress of grant applications and report on their status regularly to the fundraising team.
- Grant Calendar: Manage a grant application calendar to track deadlines and submissions.
- Feedback: Provide feedback and insights on grant applications to continually improve the quality and success rate of submissions.
- Research Best Practices: Stay informed about best practices in grant research and proposal writing to optimize the organization's grant-seeking efforts.
Qualifications:
Understanding of:
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of nonprofit organizations and grant funding.
- Familiarity with online grant databases and resources is a plus.
- Availability to dedicate up to 15 hours per week volunteering.

Description
Ripples works in Ghana, Madagascar and Nigeria, and has worked funded and provided funding that has benefited over 6,000 since it's inception in the UK in 2005. We want to encourage American youth to develop international lenses and become immersed in a rich culture where they are part of the solution as well as create a hands on learning environment on creative ways to humanitarian efforts. We are in partnership with a several universities and successfully completed a trips with students from Europe and the United States. We want to raise funds and awareness for the program. We have several reports and videos from past students after their visits. We have several projects going on in Africa which served as an internship for the students.
