Are you passionate about supporting women's empowerment and community development in Africa? Ripples, a nonprofit organization operating in Nigeria and Ghana, is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Donor Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of nurturing relationships with our valued donors, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction while contributing to our mission of creating positive change in African villages.

Your Impact:

  • Donor Engagement: Foster strong relationships with donors through personalized communications, acknowledging their contributions, and expressing gratitude for their support.
  • Donor Database Management : Maintain and update donor records in our database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the Communication team to craft engaging donor-centric communications, including thank-you letters, impact reports, and newsletters.
  • Feedback Collection: Solicit feedback from donors to understand their preferences, concerns, and motivations, and use this information to enhance our donor engagement strategies.
  • Recognition: Implement donor recognition programs to acknowledge and appreciate the support of our donors publicly and privately.
  • Feedback Integration: Work closely with other departments to ensure donor feedback and preferences inform organizational decisions and strategies.
  • Donor Retention: Develop and execute donor retention strategies to ensure ongoing support and engagement.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on donor engagement, retention, and contributions for the leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Ripples' Mission: A deep commitment to Ripples' mission of empowering African women and children through sustainable development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with donors effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage donor data and maintain accurate records.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools for donor management and communications.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Respect for and understanding of the diverse cultures and communities that Ripples serves.
  • Integrity: A commitment to ethical donor management practices and maintaining donor confidentiality.
  • Time Commitment: This is a flexible volunteer position with a recommended commitment of 15 hrs/week, allowing you to contribute remotely from the comfort of your home.

We co-create programs with each community, collaborating with government bodies to build holistic solutions tailored to each community’s unique needs. Our programs aim to train, build and scale. We work with women and youth, training them on modern, eco-friendly agriculture techniques to help them transform their economies to be a more inclusive, productive and sustainable one..

Description

Ripples works in Ghana, Madagascar and Nigeria, and has worked funded and provided funding that has benefited over 6,000 since it's inception in the UK in 2005. We currently have a Farm project: http://ripplesfoundation.ngo/ripples-farms.php; and an Experential Internship program: http://ripplesfoundation.ngo/internship.php
We want to encourage American youth to develop international lenses and become immersed in a rich culture where they are part of the solution as well as create a hands on learning environment on creative ways to humanitarian efforts. We are in partnership with a several universities and successfully completed a trips with students from Europe and the United States. We want to raise funds and awareness for the program. We have several reports and videos from past students after their visits. We have several projects going on in Africa which served as an internship for the students.
