Pacific Point Hospice is seeking kind and caring individuals to share their time and talents with our hospice patients and their families.
Our volunteers visit patients in their homes all over San Diego County! Visits can vary from playing card games, chatting and storytelling, reading aloud, celebrating a patient's birthday, or assisting family members with watering plants, walking the dog, or running errands.
Because of the direct patient and family interaction, volunteers go through specialized patient care training . This process teaches you about hospice, terminal illness, and grief specific communication skills which equips volunteers with practical and emotional tools to feel confident i n providi ng support and companionship to patients and their loved on es . We are always looking for kind and compassionate individuals to become hospice volunteers. Volunteers receive comprehensive training to understand the circumstances of a hospice patient and are equipped with practical and emotional tools to feel confident in providing support and companionship to patients and their loved ones. Volunteers also assist our office team through administrative tasks and projects.
