If you are looking for a rewarding volunteering opportunity, Pacific Point Hospice is seeking thoughtful, compassionate, and talented individuals to spend quality time with our hospice patients and provide support to their families.
Our patients love music and cherish volunteers who can share their musical talent! Volunteers are encouraged to bring their musical instruments to play for patients and family members. Because of the direct patient and family interaction, volunteers go through specialized patient care training . This process teaches you about hospice, terminal illness, and grief specific communication skills which equips volunteers with practical and emotional tools to feel confident in providing support and companionship to patients and their loved ones. We are always looking for kind and compassionate individuals to become hospice volunteers. Volunteers receive comprehensive training to understand the circumstances of a hospice patient and are equipped with practical and emotional tools to feel confident in providing support and companionship to patients and their loved ones. Volunteers also assist our office team through administrative tasks and projects.
