The mission of Collaborative Musicians’ Project is to promote quality and innovative chamber ensemble performance and chamber ensemble education through public funding. Professional ensembles sponsored by Collaborative Musicians' Project are premiere ensembles that represent innovative and positive musical performances, collaborations, and projects that support equity, unity, and a more peaceful world. These ensembles perform in concert, complete residencies, record new music, work with our Youth Ensemble Program, and provide community and educational outreach. Collaborative Mus(cians Project, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 entity.

Youth Ensemble Program Manager -

  1. Secure rehearsal venue and submit to board for approval. Coordinate with treasurer for payment of venue.
  2. Find and propose coaches to board for approval.
  3. Coordinate with insurance/licensing manager to execute background checks on all coaches and contractors who will have contact with youth participants of any kind.
  4. Season planning, including a proposed schedule to be approved by board.
  5. Act as communications liaison with youth and parents regarding auditions, audition results, rehearsals, performances, and all other questions.
  6. Receive auditions, and pass auditions to no less than two approved professional musicians involved in Collaborative Musicians’ Project, Inc. to adjudicate, then communicate audition results to youth and their parents.
  7. Consult with coaches to assign accepted youth to ensembles and to assign literature.
  8. Manage side-by-side experiences with contracted Sponsored Ensemble members, communicating and coordinating with these persons.
  9. Schedule and participate in a Youth Advisory committee meeting with the Youth Advisor to the Board and two to three additionally designated participants of the Youth Ensemble Program at least twice a year.
  10. Recommend a new Youth Advisor to the Board, for Board approval, annually at fiscal year end (current Youth Advisor to the Board can stay in position if approved by Board).
  11. Co-manage all community youth ensemble program concerts with community outreach manager
  12. Co-manage all youth ensemble program concerts with events manager
  13. Co-manage fundraising gala

  • Orientation or Training
  • The Youth Ensemble Program Manager will spend three hours per week at rehearsals during the youth ensemble program season. Outside of that, approximate two hours will be spent per week with exception during peak activity times.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with board; ability to work with teens, coaches, sponsored ensembles, etc. in a positive manner that follows expectations of organization; good communication skills; problem-solving skills.
