Volunteer Manager ensures that at least 1 volunteer is present in the morning, and one in the early evening to clean, feed and maintain kennels that our adoptable cats are housed in inside PETCO as they wait to be adopted.

The Volunteer Manager is Responsible for scheduling volunteers and making sure all shifts are covered. The volunteer manager should be able to fill in for shift that needs to be covered on short notice. This volunteer position requires that you be responsible, dependable, organized, flexible, with the ability to manage people. The Volunteer Manager will need be able to work virtually, as well as in person when needed.

  • morning / 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM EST - FULL
  • afternoon / 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM EST - FULL
  • evening / 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM EST - Spots available: 1

Mission Statement

Inky Blue Sea is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to ending the suffering of abused, abandoned, and homeless companion animals in the Greater New York area and Puerto Rico. We work with young adults to build their confidence and leadership skills at our adoption center in Manhattan. They are an essential part of our team.

Description

Milestones:

Between 2008 and 2017, Inky Blue Sea and Hands For Paws initiated and aided the rescue and adoption of over 300 dogs and cats.

We have forged partnerships with the PETCO Foundation, PETSMART Charities, the ASPCA, the Department of Educatio, NYC Mission Society, CUNY, NYPHIPPS, BIDEAWEE, as well as several humane organizations and animal shelters in New York, NJ and on the island of Puerto Rico. We are an all-volunteer organization, depend on donations from the general public to support and fuel our operations. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation here.
