Volunteer Manager ensures that at least 1 volunteer is present in the morning, and one in the early evening to clean, feed and maintain kennels that are adoptable cats are up for adoption in.
Responsible for scheduling, arranging substitute volunteers to fill for a volunteer who cannot come in for Their assigned shift. Advanced, or sometimes short notice is required to find a replacement. The volunteer manager should be able to fill in during these times, so their schedule should be flexible. Ideally, a retired adult. This volunteer position requires a responsible, dependable, organized person with experiencing managing people. In this, coordinating and making sure that there is one volunteer in the morning and early evening tending to our cats for an hour or two, 7 days per week. The Volunteer Manager will need to be able to work virtually, and on site when needed.

- morning / 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM
- afternoon / 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM
- evening / 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM

Inky Blue Sea is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to ending the suffering of abused, abandoned, and homeless companion animals in the Greater New York area and Puerto Rico. We work with young adults to build their confidence and leadership skills at our adoption center in Manhattan. They are an essential part of our team.
Description
Milestones:
Between 2008 and 2017, Inky Blue Sea and Hands For Paws initiated and aided the rescue and adoption of over 300 dogs and cats.
We have forged partnerships with the PETCO Foundation, PETSMART Charities, the ASPCA, the Department of Educatio, NYC Mission Society, CUNY, NYPHIPPS, BIDEAWEE, as well as several humane organizations and animal shelters in New York, NJ and on the island of Puerto Rico. We are an all-volunteer organization, depend on donations from the general public to support and fuel our operations. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation here.
