Assisteo Hospice (Phoenix, AZ) is a Veteran preferred local hospice ('end of life’ care), with most of our patients being Veterans.
We love being able to provide top-notch hospice care for our patients, and we also greatly value the opportunity to honor our Heroes as well. One of the ways we honor our Veteran patients is presenting them with a military branch-themed fleece blanket when they come on service with us. These blankets not only honor these Heroes, bringing lots of smiles, but are also practical, providing warmth and comfort. When the patient passes, their blanket goes to their family as a memento.
Last year, we had two organizations make these blankets for us as team-building events. It was fun and rewarding for all involved. Again, this year, we are looking for a couple of companies, organizations, community groups, etc., interested in making these blankets for our Veterans.
- These blankets are typically fleece, print on top and a flat color for the back (ie. black)
- They are tied (no-sew) blankets
- Fleece comes in each of the military branches (Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army & Coast Guard)
- Blankets are typically about 4 ft. x 5 ft.
- Blankets are folded and wrapped in a ribbon
Making these blankets is a fantastic opportunity for a Team-Building event and assured to be an encouragement for all.
If you are interested and/or have questions, please reach out.
Thank you!
