We have a 13 passenger small bus that does not require a special license to drive, but the volunteer must pass a DOT physical that Lyngblomsten will pay for. The volunteer will fill out a Lyngblomsten volunteer application, come through the Lyngblomsten orientation and Lyngblomsten will run a background study through Dept. of Human Services.
Volunteer Driver needs at Lyngblomsten
Multiple times each month our staff like to take residents of the Care Center out to lunch.
A few times each month doing a Target, Cub or Rosedale shopping outing for tenants of the senior living building on campus.
During the summer, taking the tenants to the Farmers Market in Roseville each week.
Seasonal activities like going to look at fall leaves, Christmas lights, the apple orchard, etc.
Our Director of Lifelong Learning and the Arts would love to set up outings to theaters, museums, etc., we just need to be assured that we have drivers to transport before she will set up!
Other miscellaneous fun outings, AND NEVER doctor appointments.
