About the Volunteer Coordinator Role:

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you’re not just a key player - you’re the heart of our organization, playing a critical role in propelling our mission forward. You’ll be the bridge that connects passionate volunteers to our organization and creates meaningful experiences that fuel our impact on communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Volunteer Recruitment: Drive the recruitment process, using innovative outreach strategies to connect with and inspire potential volunteers. You’ll create and publish engaging content that resonates with our target demographic, using platforms like social media, job boards, community bulletins, and events.

Volunteer Onboarding and Training: Revamp and manage the volunteer onboarding process, making sure new volunteers feel welcomed, valued, and well-prepared. You’ll ensure volunteers are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful.

Volunteer Engagement: Keep our volunteers motivated and engaged through regular communication, recognition programs, providing opportunities for growth and leadership within the organization, and most importantly, ensuring that volunteers truly fee valued by the organization.

Volunteer Appreciation: Be the voice of gratitude for our organization, developing and implementing innovative ways to thank and recognize our volunteers’ efforts and dedication.

Process Development and Improvement: Streamline and manage the volunteer processes, monitoring the volunteer program’s overall effectiveness, and suggesting improvements when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re searching for someone who’s energetic, passionate about sports and culture, and who knows the importance of a strong volunteer base. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are a must. Previous experience in volunteer coordination or management is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person who shows commitment and enthusiasm.

Building on a growing foundation, Culture in Sports continues to influence change by assisting organizations to better support their athletes and athletes' support structure (Coaches, staff, etc), communicate the importance of culture and leadership in sports organizations, and guide coaches, staff, organizations, and even athletes through education and continued outreach.
