Location: Remote | Reports to: Chief of Staff | Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time About Culture in Sports: Culture in Sports is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting healthy, inclusive, and positive sports environments. We aim to influence leadership, organizational culture, and community engagement to ensure the success of all athletes and stakeholders. To broaden our impact, we are looking for a passionate and strategic Director of Development to lead our fundraising initiatives and secure the resources needed to sustain and expand our mission. Position Summary: The Director of Development will play a crucial role in ensuring Culture in Sports's financial sustainability and long-term growth. This individual will design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, build relationships with donors and partners, and oversee all development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader, strategic thinker, and strong communicator with a passion for fostering a culture of support. Key Responsibilities: Fundraising Strategy & Execution: Create and implement a detailed fundraising strategy that includes major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, events, and online campaigns. Discover new revenue-generation opportunities that align with organizational goals. Donor Engagement & Stewardship: Cultivate, nurture, and strengthen relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations. Ensure personalized and consistent communication with donors, including acknowledgment and reporting. Grants & Proposal Management: Oversee grant research, write proposals, and manage reporting processes. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with funding requirements and program goals. Event Planning & Campaigns: Plan and implement fundraising events, donor appreciation initiatives, and targeted giving campaigns. Utilize digital tools and social media to enhance campaign reach and engagement. Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with the Chief of Staff, board members, and other stakeholders to ensure development efforts are aligned with organizational priorities. Prepare and deliver progress reports to leadership, highlighting key metrics and growth projections. Database Management: Maintain precise donor and fundraising records in the organization's CRM.
