ORGANIZATION: Volunteer Services

Volunteer and Client

Former school teacher cannot afford to hire a house cleaner to help her clean her floors. Could you visit with her once a month and help her with this task? Just one or 2 things could keep her living in her home and out of a nursing home.

Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, assists low-income older adults and adults living with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair, and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.

Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application form, pass a Washington State Patrol check and attend an orientation.
