Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services. We are a Washington state-wide program, started as a safety net for elders and adults with disabilities who do not qualify for state-paid chore assistance and cannot afford to hire assistance.

I'd rate higher but I applied two weeks ago and still waiting on a response. Called, talked to and apparently its' taking three weeks to process the paperwork.... I was taught with business etiquette to reply within 12-24 hours and give a solid "yes" or "no" answer within a week for a job... Otherwise very polite, kind, caring individuals. Agree with the ethics and principles of the business.
Great organization. You get the satisfaction of helping people who might otherwise have to move out of their residences. Everyone I have dealt with has been easy to work with and is always very appreciative of our assistance. The nice thing for me is I get to choose what I want to do and when I want to do it. There's never any pressure.
I have volunteered with VCS for several years and have enjoyed my experience very much. Everyone I have helped has needed the help and has been so appreciative. I have enjoyed all the folks that make VCS run so well, they are all very professional and caring, they all seem to love their jobs and want to help others.
I am not Catholic and a lot of the people they help are not Catholic. This program helps anyone in need and it is very well run by wonderful caring people. I am not able to help someone full time but there are always one time opportunities that my husband and I can help with. There are a lot of seniors and disabled people that just need a little help once in a while. Most people can find some time to help someone--an hour here and there really makes a difference.

Very Professional people to deal with and very passionate in serving the needy. Felt as a part of the family. Excellent choice I made to volunteer for this organization. I would love to refer to any of my friends and family.
