CITCA is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities and making a positive impact on the lives of individuals. We are currently seeking passionate and skilled volunteers to join our Americorps VISTA Service Project, "Growing Stronger Communities." Through this project, we aim to enhance our capacity building efforts and expand our reach to make an even greater difference in the communities we serve.

Position Overview: As a Fundraising and Grant Writing Volunteer, you will play a vital role in our organization's fundraising initiatives. Your expertise in fundraising, sponsor/donor relations, and grant writing/management will be instrumental in securing the necessary resources to support our programs and projects. This is a volunteer position that will require a commitment of 40 hours per week (20 in person/20 asynchronous) for a period of 12 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns
  • Cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors to secure financial support
  • Support committee development, recruit and lead volunteers
  • Write compelling grant proposals and manage the grant application process
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate fundraising events and activities
  • Track and report on fundraising progress and outcomes
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fundraising and grant writing

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fundraising, sponsor/donor relations, fundraising, or grant writing/management

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in communities

Counselors in the Community Alliance- CITCA serves disadvantaged individuals throughout the United States from urban & rural communities with mental and behavioral health resources by increasing access to services, resources and support for children, adults and families impacted by poverty and poverty-related issues and bridge the gaps to strengthen community resilience through stewardship, economic opportunities, health and education equity.

Description

CITCA is a national 501c3 on a powerful mission to increase strengthen mental health awareness and community resilience. Our association includes a collaborative alliance among counselors, mental health professionals, and community members nationwide engaging in civic community activities that promote mental health awareness and resiliency. Through such allyship the organization strengthens anti-poverty initiatives that bridge the gaps on access to care and socioeconomic resources including programs, education and employment resources.

Since incorporating the nonprofit has been driving impact in social emotional learning, SEL and increasing access to counseling services for low income families. The organization also offer programs for youth leadership development, advocacy, community resources and programs that contribute to prosocial development and other services to close equity gaps

We are seeking volunteers to serve with us who share similar passions to increase mental health awareness and strengthen communities. Volunteers are the driving force our mission would be incomplete without and we welcome all with a passion too serve.
