ORGANIZATION: FOREVER HOMES FOR FOSTER KIDS

  • 18 people are interested

Help Forever Homes for Foster Kids achieve our mission of reunifying families through research.

We’re trying to improve the lives of thousands of foster children. Do you want to be a part of it?

We’re looking for a research volunteer. The Research Volunteer will be responsible for scanning through existing online articles, statistics, and webpages to gather necessary evidence to allow us to:

  • Educate the public about the plight of foster children
  • Increase support so more foster children can be reunited with family
  • Identify opportunities to speak with large groups about foster children
Your work may also include identifying reporters, officials, organizations and politicians who may be interested in collaborating to expand the message about foster children.

We ask that research volunteers:

  • Commit to volunteering 3-4 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks
  • Understand basic research and information gathering techniques
  • Experience with Google Docs and Microsoft Excel for the storage of research findings
  • Have reliable internet access
  • Be willing to meet one-on-one virtually with the Founder and Director of Forever Homes for Foster Kids on a weekly basis
  • Ability to work independently, resourceful, and committed to meeting deadlines and deliverables
  • Document your work and create a cessation plan before you leave the project.

This opportunity is remote.

If interested in applying, please send your resume to info@foreverhomesforfosterkids.org and the Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch.
