Candidates must CURRENTLY reside in the EST/PST/CST time zones (to be able to host a 45-minute Zoom session at 6pm, 7pm or 8pm EST).
SoulPhamm is a nonprofit organization that provides sports, arts, education and service programs to young people in New York and New Jersey. You may learn more about us by visiting our website at www.soulphamm.org.
SoulPhamm serves young people ages 9 to 21 in a variety of programs including: basketball, hip-hop majorette dance (which utilizes hip-hop, contemporary, jazz genres), stomp & shake/traditional cheerleading (which also utilizes contemporary dance styles), stepping and a drumline. The young athletes need to develop stamina and flexibility to compete and perform.
We are now looking to add "virtual fitness faculty" (VFF) to our team. VFF's can participate in one or all of the following ways:
(a) developing and videotaping stretch and fitness routines designed to help the kids establish/maintain flexibility, upper body strength, and stamina - the athletes will be able to access these videos on demand;
(b) facilitating a "live" (45-minute) Zoom workout with the kids on a day and time that works for you (evenings work best for our kids). This would be needed from February 2024 to May 2024.

Our vision is to promote virtue, equity, unity, justice, faith, charity and a sense of common purpose and brotherhood among all people with an emphasis on the development and advancement of young people through education, athletics, service and the arts.
SoulPhamm was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the state of New Jersey on June 25, 2021 and is the "birth-child" of Coach Luis ("Lou") and Dr. Leisa Herrera ("Mz. Doc"). The organization exists to provide training to young people in a variety of sports and performing arts and unique opportunities to display those talents through competition and performance. By integrating mentoring, life skills, opportunities for community service and academic enrichment to the athletic/artistic program, we help make our scholar-athletes as well-rounded as possible, capable of meeting and overcoming any challenges they are faced with. Although Coach Lou passed away suddenly in January 2021, the official launch of SoulPhamm was held on June 26, 2021, which coincided with his birthday weekend. SoulPhamm will recognize its own founding, as well as the achievements of our young people every year on the fourth Saturday of June, as a tribute to the life and legacy of Coach Lou.
