Lyngblomsten Ice Cream Social -- Thursday, August 3rd from 3-7pm

We are looking for volunteers to help us with our outdoor Ice Cream Social on August 3rd! There are a variety of opportunities available (groups welcome), including setup, food and accompanying residents who use wheelchairs:


Setup -- 12:30-2:30pm (up to 20 volunteers): Set up table and chair, food serving and seating areas. Small pop up tent setup.

Food -- 2:15-5pm or 4:45-7:15pm (up to 7 volunteers per shift): Grill and serve hot dogs as well as beverages and snacks. First shift will prep food and last shift will clean up.

Transport -- 2:30-5pm or 4:45-7:15pm (up to 12 volunteers per shift): Help residents get outside to join the fun. Enjoy the entertainers and petting zoo with them.

Lyngblomsten provides compassionate care to older adults through residential and community services. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed to explore over 100 unique and varied opportunities. While short-term options may be available periodically, we encourage longer-term commitments given the exceptional level of orientation, training and on-going education Lyngblomsten provides in support of its volunteers.
