VITAS Healthcare is looking for musicians who are able to volunteer and devote some time for playing or singing for hospice patients living in long term care facilities. There are many locations and opportunities for Music volunteers to help out in the St. Louis and St. Charles areas. VITAS Music Volunteers help patients reconnect with feelings and memories that can bring about a sense of peace and happiness. VITAS provides training on hospice philosophy and how to work with people at the end of life. The musician provides the talent, compassion and time. Assignments are made according to the volunteer’s preferred time and location.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
