ORGANIZATION: GATEWAY ARCH PARK FOUNDATION

Our Opportunity:

Pride Parade Volunteers support Gateway Arch Park Foundation, Gateway Arch National Park, and Jefferson National Expansion Association to share our allyship with the LGBTQIA+ community. During the Pride Parade, volunteers will spend time at the Gateway Arch Park Foundation tent sharing information about the organization and handing out giveaways and/or walking/riding in our float during the parade. T-shirts and training about the foundation will be provided.

Roles and Responsibilities:

18 or older (younger applicants with parental/guardian approval may be considered). As representatives of The National Park Service and Gateway Arch Park Foundation, volunteers must adhere to the policies, procedures, and code of conduct as outlined in the volunteer handbook provided prior to or during training.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A desire to interact with the public and fulfill the mission of GAPF
  • Enthusiasm, friendliness, and a positive attitude
  • Respect for confidentiality of the Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s volunteers, partners, members, and donors
  • Willingness to take initiative, and voice ideas

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time

Commitment:

Sunday, June 25 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Location:

Meet at the Gateway Arch Park Foundation Offices at 1 S. Memorial Drive. Carla Hudson will meet you outside the Gateway Tower building at 9 am to walk to the location of our booth.

Training and Supervision:

  • Information about the event and Gateway Arch Park Foundation will be provided the week of the event.

Volunteer Perks:

  • Contribute to a national monument, The Gateway Arch National Park!
  • Annual volunteer recognition event
  • Free parking if needed during volunteer hours
