Save the Chimps operates one of the largest chimpanzee sanctuaries in the world. Located on 150 acres in Fort Pierce, FL, the sanctuary provides lifetime care and enrichment for chimpanzees rescued from research laboratories, the pet trade, and entertainment industry.
Summer is quickly approaching and we are looking for volunteers to help us with the upkeep of our 150-acre property. Tasks will include mowing, line trimming, picking up palm fronds, etc. We are also in need of volunteers to water newly planted trees on the chimpanzee islands.
Experience operating a zero-turn lawn mower is preferred, but not required. Training and equipment will be provided.
Help needed daily, but preference to Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8:30am.
If you are interested in helping, but need an alternate schedule, please reach out and we would be happy to discuss accommodations.
