The low-income senior citizens and families who live in AHC's affordable housing building appreciate having free, healthy groceries delivered to their property.

AHC needs volunteers age 14+ to help distribute the groceries (milk, eggs, fresh produce, canned goods and more) at several locationsthis summer. There is parking available at all locations.

Mondays, 11am-1:15pm
, The Shell, 870 S Greenbrier St in Arlington VA.

Thursdays, 10:30am - 12:45pm, The Shelton, 3214 25th St. South in Arlington VA

We prefer volunteers who can commit to volunteering weekly but will take one-time volunteers. You can find exact listings on this Sign-up Genius.

Description

AHC Inc. is among the largest developers of affordable and mixed-income housing in the Washington-Baltimore metro region. AHC Inc. has developed nearly 7,000 quality affordable homes to help families and individuals build stable lives and strong futures. We provide homes for more than 18,000 people.

AHC’s Resident Services program supports thousands of children, families and senior citizens through on-site programs. We focus primarily on comprehensive education programs; after school, teen, college & career, and summer camp programs for elementary through high school students. The program also provides programs to help adults strengthen their economic stability and build stronger futures for themselves and their families.
