The Unity Park Advisory Council is an all-volunteer group of neighbors organize fun events, and help maintain the park. Wed live to have you join us! You can help in my ways, for example,

  • Attend (most) monthly meetings (1st Wednesdays of each month), work with fellow council members to plan events and drive forth UPAC initiatives.
  • Lend a hand the day-of to help our community events run smoothly.
  • Help with fundraising, social media, technical, and audio-video projects.
  • Etc.!
We've come up with creative ways to utilitze our little park and make it a bright spot in the neighborhood, and were eager to hear you ideas and try make 'em happen!

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Council will be to plan effective ways for everyone in the community to better utilize Unity Park. We do this because neighbors like you choose to get involved, because this is what they get in return! Smiles from hundreds of happy children! Getting to know your neighbors! Ownership of your local park! Learn how to plan fun family friendly events! Make new friends! Be able to say you helped make that happen!

Description

The Unity Park Advisory Council is a local group made up of local parents and neighbors. The council facilitates the use of Unity Park by the public through the following.
Maintenance and up-keep of the park
Planning and fund-raising for capital improvements
Creating garden and art projects
Planning and hosting special events at the park
UPAC is organized under the Friends of the Parks advisory council guidelines.

UPAC has been in operation for over 30 years.
