*If you are a volunteer who must complete court-mandated community service, you must email margaret@mealsonwheelswest.org for further information.

Meals on Wheels West is looking for volunteers to make meal deliveries through our "More Than a Meal" program on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays in Santa Monica. There is Hidden Hunger in even the most affluent communities, and we thank you for your interest and compassion in helping the vulnerable populations we serve during these trying times.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: Our new Mini Routes are shorter than our typical routes, with an average of 7 clients. These new routes are located in Santa Monica. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who are maybe short on time but still want to serve your community! You will work directly with Meals on Wheels West to deliver meals to our homebound neighbors in need. The meals that you will deliver consist of hot lunches, sandwiches, milk, juice, fruit, and frozen meals (on select days).

Pickup time from our office in Santa Monica is between 10:45 am - 11:45 am depending on the route. Delivery times will take approximately 1 hour and each route has an average of 7 homebound clients who would otherwise be food insecure.

All volunteers undergo a mandatory background check (takes approximately 3-5 days to complete).

INTERESTED? Click 'I Want To Help' above and we will follow up with additional information and details.
