Are you kind and friendly and looking to help others? Are you patient and empathic, and willing to share those gifts with others during a difficult time? If so, we may have an opportunity that might be a perfect fit for you!

Residential Hospice is seeking dedicated Patient Support Volunteers to help patients and families through their end-of-life journey. Hospice patients have a terminal diagnosis and a limited life expectancy. Our volunteers provide comfort, companionship and friendship to patients i and their and families.

Volunteers visits patients where they are: whether in a nursing facility or at home. Volunteers engage with patients in variety of ways depending on the patient’s needs. Activities can range from reading aloud, doing puzzles, or attending facility activities with the patient to simply listening to music, talking or holding a hand. Volunteers also may provide a bit of time away for caregivers who are caring for a loved one.

As a hospice volunteer, your presence and support can make an impact for our patients and their families. If this seems like something that would be a good fit for you, we’d love to hear from you.
