Learning changes lives and futures. Share your love of learning by joining Community Education Partnerships’ (CEP) caring team of volunteer tutors. CEP provides tutoring and mentoring to pre-K to 12th-grade students experiencing homelessness. CEP Tutors are a consistent and caring presence in the life of our students, fostering a deep love of learning and ensuring that they are set up for academic success.
We are specifically looking for tutors that are available to help students of all ages in Richmond by joining our amazing after-school Shelter-Based Homework Club.
The homework club meets once a week on Thursdays from 5 - 6:30 pm to support students in small groups.
- Must complete full orientation and background check
- Training and ongoing support provided
- Minimum age 16. Minors must have an adult supporter who will supervise tutoring
Safety Information: Social distancing, masks, and enhanced hygiene measures are required. All volunteers and students must be fully vaccinated. TB test required. All volunteers must also complete a two-hour Mandated Reporter Training.
