The North River Ranger District is looking for a single volunteer or couple to fill a campground host opportunity at North River Campground . North River is a quiet campground in Augusta County, VA. The North River runs around the campground which contains 9 sites. It is also nearby popular trails including the Wild Oak National Recreation Trail, the Staunton Dam Day Use Area, and Elkhorn Lake. The site is approximately 45 minutes to Harrisonburg and closest to the town of Stokesville.
Schedule: Hosts are expected to be available at campground Friday - Sunday including holiday weekends. Commitment to the entire recreation season from May to October is preferred.
Amenities: Campsite suitable for RV/Trailer provided free of charge with access to propane. Housing not provided, host must provide own RV or Trailer - tents are not suitable for length of stay. Campground is equipped with vault toilets. No running water, or electricity. Cell service limited. Showers/water available at Todd Lake campground 5 mins. away.
